Lit' Bit Child Safety Seat Program.  85% of children are not in a properly installed safety seat.  This program teaches parents how to choose the proper seat, how to place the child in the seat properly and how to install the seat in the vehicle properly

Through out the school year firefighters from Englewood Fire Department visit our area schools to provide fire and safety instructions.  Many teachers bring their classes to our fire stations for "field trips".

In the Summer, we have groups from various camps tour our stations. 

Our fire / extrication crews participate in public awareness demonstrations to help the public understand the workings of a professional fire department.

The Englewood Fire Department, in cooperation with Charlotte County Fire-EMS, participates in the RED DOT Program.  This program allows our citizens to communicate their medical information to Emergency Medical Personnel.  A "RED DOT" is provided, to affix to front door, notifying EMS personnel of a RED DOT participant.

The Englewood Fire Department, in cooperation with Charlotte County Fire-EMS and Charlotte Regional Medical Center, participates in the Safety on Scene (S.O.S.) Program.  This program allows our citizens to communicate their medical information to Emergency Medical Personnel at the scene of a vehicle accident.  A "S.O.S. Sticker" is provided, to affix to the back of your rear view mirror, notifying EMS personnel of a S.O.S. participant.

In-service company fire inspections serve several vital functions: Training, familiarization, pre-fire planning and detecting fire hazards.  The firefighter's  conduct these inspections while remaining "in-service" to respond to emergency calls. 

Recycle your rechargeable batteries. You may drop off any rechargeable batteries at our business offices during normal business hours.  This is a FREE service - Help keep Englewood Green.
