The department firefighting personnel are divided into three shifts.
A Battalion Chief is in command of each shift

L to R - Battalion Chiefs: Al Sardina, Rusty McCord, Pete Ojeda

Each shift is staffed by (minimum):
a Battalion Chief, a Lieutenant &
thirteen Firefighters

This provides 24/7 staffing for six engines and a ladder truck (two firefighters each)
and the department command vehicle.

All firefighters are certified by the State of Florida,
and are cross trained and certified as EMT's
