Job Requirements

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
* High School Diploma or Equivalent
* State of Florida Drivers License
* State of Florida Minimum Standards Certification for Firefighting
* State of Florida EMT-B license
* Certificates/license(s) from other states will not be accepted.

MORE ABOUT ENGLEWOOD & THE ENGLEWOOD FIRE DISTRICT:
* Englewood is on the Gulf of Mexico, approx. 100 miles south of Tampa Bay.
* Englewood is a resort/bedroom community - no heavy industry.
* District Size: 82 square miles.
* District Population: 50,000 stable to 75,000 (+/-) during season.
* District is a Special Fire District and an independent state taxing authority.
* District has it's own locally elected five member Board of Fire Commissioners.
* Number of Stations: Currently 5 with 1 additional to staff by 2008.
* Residency within the District is not a requirement.
* The I-75 Exit for Englewood is Number 191.
