CAREER FIREFIGHTER

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
* High School Diploma or Equivalent
* State of Florida Drivers License
* State of Florida Minimum Standards Certification for Firefighting
* State of Florida EMT-B license
* Certificates/license(s) from other states will not be accepted.

 

VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER

JOB DESCRIPTION
Volunteer Firefighters will be called upon to augment staffing in the fire stations, respond on apparatus
and commit to being available by pager for major incidents such as structure fires, wildland fires, man made or natural disasters.
Additional duties may include providing basic medical coverage for special event programs within the community. 
A
Volunteer
 Firefighter will be required to participate in one company drill per month
and commit to a minimum of 24 hours of duty time every month.

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

* Minimum of 18 years of age.
* High School Diploma or Equivalent
* State of Florida Drivers License
* Current State of Florida Certification for Firefighter I or 2
*
Current State of Florida EMT Certification
*
Be of good character and standing in the community as determined by a background check
*
Pass a medical exam and be determined to be fit for duty by passing a physical agility test
