Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) training

These pictures are from a Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) training session.  The RIT training is completed on a yearly basis and is geared towards firefighter rescue. The Denver Drill (shown here) is a simulation of a firefighter in a narrow passage (22 inches) and practices a technique to get the firefighter out to a window.

Also practiced was a drill where a firefighter was trapped under a collapsed wall, the RIT Team had to locate the trapped firefighter, hook up fresh air and free him from the debris.   The third drill simulated a firefighter who was low on air and entangled in wire.   The RIT Team had to locate the trapped firefighter, hook up fresh air and untangle the trapped firefighter.
