| This building and fire engine were paid for by the 1% sales tax approved by the voters of Charlotte County. Opening of this fire station completed the third phase of fire district improvements, approved by the voters of the Englewood Area Fire Control District in 2005. This station reduces response time to the Englewood - East area, as well as improving fire protection thru-out the fire district. | ||
